  For the past 3 years, we have used Checker Limousine to provide transportation for our 83 year old father. The drivers have always given him kind, courteous and trustworthy service. Because of his dementia, having a driving service we can trust is of utmost importance. I highly recommend this company and hope this review shows our gratitude and appreciation for all they do to ensure my father arrives safely at his destination and then back home again. Thank you!

  Last year I'd have given them five stars but sadly their service has declined a great deal. I'm not talking about most drivers not opening doors anymore, that's not a big deal. No other taxi company does that. I mean the drivers not coming into a clinic to find you when you've forgotten your cell phone. When one driver found driving away was asked why he didn't come in to find his client he knew did not have a cell phone, he managed a "nah." This has happened more than once. Drivers will not get out of their cars to find their clients.
  
  Road raging drivers is also unacceptable. Last Tuesday I had a driver I'd had previously (who yelled at me that I didn't understand economics. I asked that he not drive me again). Someone attempted to get into his lane and he erupted into a tirade of profanity and tried to involve me in his rant about idiotic drivers. There are also drivers who take personal calls.
  
  I also had a strange, unexpectedly adversarial phone call with a supervisor when I was asking about being let off prior to my stop, but on the way to my stop when on account. It seemed to me to be logical to save money to the account holder not to go the extra few blocks. The supervisor seemed offended instead of taking my questions as open queries and thanked me for pointing out a discrepancy and slammed the door on the money saving concept of letting account holders be let off a few blocks short of the designated stops. I thought of changing my account to another company but as it happens I spoke with the driver who was partly responsible for this and she talked me out of it.
  
  I gave them an extra star for the amazing drivers they do have. I don't know all of their names but Omar stands out as well as many others.

  I love this company, there punctual, clean and always polite, though I occasionally have to actively direct the cab to where I wanted to go, so I guess be careful because not all of the drivers know the city well. All that being said I would still choose checker over any other traveling service!

  Drivers are getting creepier every year - no complaints but now when I call to make a reservation for pick up their system won’t accept my credit card (although working fine) and they’re unwilling to bend at all. I’ve been a customer for years. They’ve now lost all of my business since I can’t tell if/when I can get a ride.

  Their service quality has declined significantly with new drivers. Called to express my concern after being a loyal customer for over 10 years and was told they didn't have time to discuss it but that "Jenn" would return my call. She never did. Not using them anymore and have moved to Uber.
